Each Friday evening, hundreds bikers used to go to a meeting in VINCENNES, little city in the East suburb of PARIS. Boys mostly and some girls come riding their motorcyle and stop on a huge place in front of the castle of VINCENNES (metro station : Porte de Vincennes). It is a spontaneous movement, even very old.
The bikers are numerous, and for the security, police stays around the place to forbid the entrance to the cars. Blue lights of the staying police, headlights, flashing lights of the running motorbikes, roaring motors in the twilight.
There, bikers speak about bikes, then plan the end of the evening : a little race with covered number plate on the ring « Peripherique » of Paris, drink a glass in a bar, go to restaurant, clubbing etc … For the girls, it is quite boring. Many young guys, kind of James Dean, explain to other helmeted angels, how they play with the death.
Their bikes seem tigers.
I like this mood.

And every first Friday of every month, the owners of the Seventies’ Z900 Kawasaki motorbikes before to go to Vincennes castle, specially meet together in a Turkish Restaurant « ANATOLIE » in PARIS, 87 cours de Vincennes (75020) phone + 33 (0)1 43 48 04 39, metro station : Porte de Vincennes.

They take dinner together and after go to VINCENNES to join the others bikers. Some 1st Friday evening, I like to go there.

When I come back to the mechanic, to get back my motorbike, I always feel some joy, like a child in front of his Christmas toys. Her and me have live so many good rides since 32 years. If you need a good mechanic for your 70’s Japanese motorbike, go to:
